today’s comic is inspired by a song i’ve heard before: Better With You by Gentle Bones & Benjamin Kheng:

This world is better with you around

& i truly mean it. the world’s been through some damn tough stuff since the beginning of time — but the last two years have been hard on you and i. we’ve lost people around us, close and distant, due to COVID or not; we’ve lost friendships, relationships, jobs; most of all, we’ve lost our way. but don’t worry, you’re still on this train. it’s still going, and we’re still gonna catch some real amazing sights.

and though sometimes i do want to Stop This Train, you’re why i get to look at life and go: wow, it’s wild, and messy, and beautiful. and i’m so glad i get to be on this train with you.

i hope you know that this world is indeed, better with you in it, and around.
